Composer Mark Hardison Garbett began his musical career as a classically trained pianist. Hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, Mark has always been inspired by the grandeur of the American West, its beauty reflected in his earliest piano compositions.

His band, The Moth & The Flame has achieved international success, touring with Imagine Dragons and Weezer. With 60 million plus streams on Spotify/Youtube and 4 songs in the Billboard Top 30 they continue to find new fans. Two of their singles were recently featured in 13 Reasons why, and EA Sport's NBA 2K17 video game franchise.

With a Masters in Music Film Composition from the renowned University of Southern California, Mark has kicked off his career writing for award winning VR, video games, and various films. For his work on the film Chichi, an official selction at Sundance 2019, Mark won an Independent Shorts Silver Award for sound design. He composed key themes for Limetown: starring Jessica Biel and Stanley Tucci. Most recently, he composed the score for Quibi’s critically acclaimed series “When The Streetlights Go On”. Mark is represented by UTA.
